KDAB engineers recently presented trainings and presentations on the numerous ways to use and leverage the power of OpenGL in and with Qt at the Qt Developer Days in Berlin and Santa Clara.

Yesterday Qt 5.0.0 was released. It is the culmination of huge amounts of work since the announcement of and start of Qt 5′s development. This is the first major release of Qt since the launch of open governance in Autumn 2011, when it became much easier for external individuals and companies to contribute to Qt in terms of code submissions, code reviews, design, and maintenance. As KDAB benefits from a successful Qt, we have made investments to contribute to the long-term health of the frameworks.

Qt Project e Digia hanno quest'oggi rilasciato le tanto attese Qt 5.0. Per l'occasione sono stati rilasciati due video, uno celebrativo ed uno contenente le novità.

Today we released Qt Creator 2.6.1. It contains lots of bug fixes, and solves issues when using Qt Creator for Qt5 based projects. See the change log for details.

With Qt 5.0 finally seeing the light of day in the very near feature, plans are beginning to be laid for Qt 5.1. One of the improvements being talked about now for future Qt 5.x releases is support for more OpenGL enablers in the tool-kit.
