Instead of copying and pasting links, Clipmarks is like adding a pair of scissors to your browser, letting you capture exactly what you want others to see (text, images or video). Your clips are saved on clipmarks.com and can easily be syndicated to FriendFeed, Twitter, Facebook or other sites. You can also post anything you clip directly to your blog (supports Wordpress, Blogger, Typepad and more) or send it directly to friends or co-workers via email. Clipmarks also gives you a way to help the environment by printing only the parts of a page that you need. By printing just what you need, you'll save ink, paper and trees, thus making a contribution to a cleaner environment.

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your extensions individually into installable .xpi files. Now you can easily synchronize your office and home browsers. FEBE backs up your extensions, themes, and (optionally) your bookmarks, preferences, passwords, cookies and just about everything else Firefox offers (it can even backup/restore your entire profile).

CLEO is a Firefox extension that works with FEBE to package any number of extensions/themes into a single, installable .xpi file. Why? Consider this: I, as an extension developer, have several different Firefox profiles. Whenever I start a new extension, I create a new profile for testing, debugging, etc. In this profile, I like to have a dozen or so developer related extensions installed. With CLEO, I can packaged all these extensions together into a single, installable xpi.

OPIE is a Firefox extension that allows you to import and export your installed extension preferences. This is useful when installing extensions in a new profile, or synchronizing multiple Firefox installations.

Fennec, the codename for the mobile version of the Firefox web browser, now has its first extension. The browser, which launched into alpha last month, has always allowed for extendibility through add-ons, but none had been ported over until recently. The first extension to arrive in Fennec is one that makes perfect sense for mobile browsers, too: URL Fixer, a handy add-on that corrects typos in URLs typed in the address bar. Chris Finke, the developer of the URL Fixer add-on, posted in his weblog last week that the extension is now fully Fennec compatible. He noted that a typo-correcting tool like this may be even more useful in a mobile browser than it is on a computer with a full-size keyboard.
