Pubblicato un nuovo script per l’installazione di Amsn Trunk (ricezione dell’ultima versione in sviluppo tramite subversion) con la possibilità di scaricare i nuovi plugin/skin per la nuova versione… Il tutto viene effettuato in automatico tramite questo comodo script in bash. Segnalatemi Bug/errori nel caso in cui ne trovaste qualcuno!

aMSN is a Windows Live Messenger clone licensed under the GPL. Its main objective is to assist users who are new to the GNU/Linux operating system keep in contact with those who use the Microsoft program which is available only on Windows and Macintosh. To achieve this objective, aMSN attempts to emulate the look and feel of Windows Live Messenger, and supports many of its features.aMSN has features not present in Windows Live Messenger. Users can set alarms, are able to see others who have removed them from their contact list, and are able to open many profiles at once. It is also very customizable, with extensions and themes available at the main site. aMSN also allows functions not available in Microsoft Messenger for Mac (the Macintosh counterpart of Windows Live Messenger), such as webcam support, and the "nudge" feature.

aMSN è un programma libero (rilasciato sotto licenza GPL) di messaggistica istantanea che utilizza il protocollo di comunicazione MSN, creato nativamente per MSN Messenger (diventato ora Windows Live Messenger) di Microsoft. Il motivo per il quale è stato creato era quello di assistere i nuovi utenti del sistema operativo GNU/Linux abituati al programma Windows Live Messenger di Microsoft, disponibile solo per Windows e, in versioni datate, anche per Macintosh.MSN imita la grafica di MSN Messenger, la vecchia versione di Windows Live Messenger, e ne supporta la maggior parte delle funzioni, facilitando la migrazione a questo programma.MSN non è disponibile solo per GNU/Linux, ma anche per i sistemi UNIX, Macintosh e Windows, e altre piattaforme che supportano il Tcl/Tk 8.4 o superiore.
